What is a cooling-off period?

If you buy goods or services from us online or over the phone you are allowed a cooling-off period.  This is the period of time you have to change your mind about something you've purchased ‘from a distance’.

For GOODS: the 14-day cooling period starts from the date you take ownership of the goods. You can cancel the goods at any time from the moment you place your order and up to 14 days from the date they arrive.

For SERVICES: the 14-day cooling off period starts the day after you entered into the contract for the service.

Cooling-off period Exemptions

A cooling-off period does not apply if the goods are custom made to order, or if the packaging has been opened.

 

How to cancel during a cooling-off period?

If you use the postal system you are advised to keep a copy of your cancellation letter and you should send it via Recorded Delivery, as burden of proof lies with you.  We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation without delay.

You will be responsible for the costs, including any insurance cover necessary, of returning the goods safely to us unless we have agreed otherwise.   

All goods should be returned to us within 14 days of the cancellation notification.  We will make the reimbursement not later than 14 days after the day we receive the returned goods.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.

 

Reimbursement

We will reimburse you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery to you (except the supplementary costs arising if you chose anything other than the standard delivery).  

 

Deduction from Reimbursement

GOODS:  We may take a deduction from the reimbursement for loss of value of any goods supplied if the loss is due to unnecessary handling and/or if there is unnecessary damage to the original packaging.

SERVICES: We may take a deduction from the reimbursement if the service had already started during the cooling-off period, we will retain monies as necessary to cover costs of the services provided up until you cancelled, including any administrative costs if necessary.
